About Broward County DSA
Incorporated July 5th, 2022, we are a county wide chapter consisting of members with shared socialist values. We focus on direct community aid, community/workplace organizing, electoral politics, political education, and of course member socializing.
The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the largest socialist organization in the United States. We believe that working people should run both the economy and society democratically to meet human needs, not to make profits for a few. We are a political and activist organization, not a party; through campus and community-based chapters, DSA members use a variety of tactics, from legislative to direct action, to fight for reforms that empower working people.
Broward County DSA members advocate for socialism by striving to be positive influences on each other and seeking opportunities to improve their community. We rally against racism, sexism, war, pollution, disinformation, corruption, corporate greed, gun violence, imperialism, child labor, and fear-mongering. We rally in support of the working class.
