Our Growth & Development Committee

The Growth & Development Committee is responsible for strengthening the chapter’s membership base through onboarding, retention, and leadership development. The committee focuses on building meaningful member engagement, supporting new and existing members, and developing pathways for people to grow as organizers within the chapter.

The GDC is led by the Membership Coordinators, who facilitate committee work, support member development, and coordinate one-on-one conversations with applicants and committee members as a part of their Steering Committee tasks. This committee supports the efforts to onboard new members to Broward County DSA!

Retaining members means actively keeping people engaged in the chapter over time by making sure members feel connected, supported, and equipped to stay involved. This includes improving onboarding, maintaining relationships, following up with inactive members, and creating structures that help people move from participation into leadership.

If you are interested in the work of developing members and organizers as the foundation for a strong local DSA chapter and have relevant experience, please apply to join the GDC!
